Karoom Brown, a more than 17-year government and commercial health care market veteran, has been named chief global strategy, products and growth officer atOptums federal health services unit, GovCon Wire has learned.
He will lead OptumServe‘s efforts to identify new business opportunities and expand technology offerings in the federal sector.
Brown previously served as senior vice president of business development and strategy at Leidos‘ (NYSE: LDOS) federal health business and general manager of Lockheed Martins (NYSE: LMT) health and life sciences businesses.
He is a recipient of the 2018 BEYA Sales Executive of the Year and 2017 Affirm Industry Government Executive of the Year awards.
Mike Nestor, interim CEO of Optums Lewin Group subsidiary, will assume the role on a full-time basis.
