Perspecta (NYSE: PRSP) has appointed Michael Ventling, formerly global chief financial officer at Ernst & Young, to its board of directors and has named him chairman of the company’s audit committee.
Mike Lawrie, chairman of the Perspecta board of directors, said in a statement published Tuesday that Ventling brings with him years of experience in accounting, auditing and transactions and driving shareholder value to the Chantilly, Va.-based company.
During his four-year term as EYs CFO, Ventling handled the professional services providers $300M finance department and auditing operations.
He also served as EYs vice chair and managing partner in the U.S., as well as global vice chair for quality and risk management implementation, growing experience in audit and taxation advisory services.
Ventlings appointment comes as Biggs Porter, formerly executive vice president and chief financial officer at Fluor (NYSE: FLR), leaves Perpectas board of directors to take on a full-time job.
Mac Curtis, president and CEO of Perspecta, said Porter contributed to the launch of the information technology service management company in early 2018.
