SCRA Affiliate ATI Wins Potential $99M Naval Technology Center Contract

The Office of Naval Research Composite Manufacturing Technology Center has awarded Advanced Technology International, an affiliate of SCRA, a contract worth up to $99 million. The award is a re-competition of a current contract.

The contract has an initial two-year base period award of $40 million, two one-year options of $20 million and a final option year of $19 million. It will fund the CMTC in Anderson, S.C., which is comprised of ATI and corporate partners from the composites industry.

The CMTC develops manufacturing processes for composites and advanced materials. Its technology helps resolve manufacturing and repair priorities of the Navy, Defense Department and others. These priorities include Defense Department aircraft, surface ships, submarines, land vehicles and associated weapons and missiles.

“We look forward to continuing our service to the Department of Defense, the Navy and the ManTech Program through the Composites Manufacturing Technology Center in our Anderson Innovation Center, ” ATI President Rick Self said. “Our program managers have proven that they can effectively lead this collaboration and solve manufacturing problems for the Department of Defense.”
