Raytheon Wins $9M Navy Ship Defense Contract Modification

The U.S. Navy has awarded Raytheon Co. (NYSE: RTN), Integrated Defense Systems, San Diego, Calif.,  a $9, 000, 448 cost-plus-fixed-fee and cost-plus-award-fee modification to exercise options for fiscal 2011 ship self defense system platform systems engineering agent efforts. Contract funds of $2, 500, 448 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.

Raytheon will continue to provide SSDS pre- and post-certification/life-cycle maintenance support services, SSDS MK2 modification, and integration support for CVN 78 and SSDS MK 1 upgrade to the OA baseline.

Ninety percent of the work will be performed in San Diego, Calif. and it is expected to be completed by September 2011.

The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.
