DPW Holdings subsidiary Coolisys Technologies aims to expand its technology development and manufacturing capabilities with the acquisition of electronic systems provider Enertec Systems for approximately $9 million.
DPW said Wednesday its Fremont, Calif.-based subsidiary will add more than 70 new workers, most of whom will be engineers with military experience, through the deal.
Coolisys President and CEO Amos Kohn said the transaction is part of its acquisition growth strategy for 2018.
“Coolisys, with Enertec™s assistance, will target the U.S. Department of Defense’s Foreign Military Sales and [Foreign] Military Financing programs as well as expand its sales by offering its new product and services portfolios to other global defense markets such as India, members of NATO, other countries and agencies,” he added.
Israel-based Enertec offers multi-purpose technologies such as mission computers, missile launches and command-and-control, automatic testing and power supply systems for battlefield operations.
