Jacobs Engineering Group (NYSE: JEC) has received a potential five-year, $778 million contract to provide the U.S. Special Operations Command with information technology enterprise operations and maintenance support services.
The company said Wednesday it will provide global network operations, end user and common device assistance, enterprise configuration and architecture, license and asset management support for the Special Operations Forces Information Environment.
Work will occur through 2023 and also covers plans and engineering, change, system and network infrastructure services for the SIE in support of at least 70,000 special operations personnel worldwide.
The SIE is the network that enables secure collection and distribution of information that is synthesized into actionable knowledge for the Defense Department, said Darren Kraabel, senior vice president for aerospace and technology at Jacobs.
Kraabel noted the company has backed USSOCOMs intelligence operations in the last two decades and is excited to broaden its mission support to the command through the contract.
He added the firm continues to support clients defense and intelligence missions through the Jacobs Connected Enterprise that works to integrate its capabilities in cybersecurity, cloud computing, data analytics, industrial internet of things and other IT areas.
