Matt Wiles, formerly a senior vice president and managing director at Leidos (NYSE: LDOS) U.K. arm, has been promoted to CEO of the Reston, Virginia-based government information technology services contractors U.K. business.
Roger Krone, chairman and CEO of Leidos, said in a statement published Thursday Wiles leadership and his role in facilitating the delivery of logistics and IT support to the British armed forces through the Logistic Commodities Services Transformation program seek to reflect the opportunities the U.K. offers through partnership, technology and service.
Wiles joined Leidos UK in April 2016 as VP and deputy program manager for the LCST contract with the U.K. defense ministry.
He previously worked at Serco for two years as managing director for defense and strategic partnership director.
He served in the Royal Air Force as air secretary and chief of staff personnel and as director of the joint support chain at the U.K. defense ministry.
Wiles is a companion of the Order of the Bath and a commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire.
