Ed Meehan
Ed Meehan, formerly head of safety and citizen services portfolio at Accentures (NYSE: ACN) federal services business, has been promoted to chief operating officer of that same unit.
Meehan succeeds John Goodman, who took over as CEO of Accenture Federal Services on Nov. 20, the company reported.
He said he will work to help AFS clients leverage new operating models, commercial practices and digital technology platforms to achieve results.
Meehan is a 27-year company veteran who previously served as civilian portfolio lead and head of sales operations at AFS.
He started his career at Accenture in 1990 with responsibilities over financial services, travel and commercial transportation industries.
He is a member of the board of directors of The Womens Center, a nonprofit resource and counseling organization.
