SAIC Secures $2.5 Billion State Dept. Task Order; Deb Alderson Comments

SAIC (NYSE: SAI) won the $2.5 billion Vanguard 2, Task Order 2.2.1 by the U.S. Department of State to oversee the enterprisewide IT network infrastructure at the Bureau of Information Resource Management.

The deal includes a one-year base term and nine one-year options.

According to the firm, “SAIC will serve as the lead systems integrator and business partner for all Vanguard II program components and will assist in streamlining services, realizing economies of scale and providing improved service delivery.”

“We look forward to providing integrated IT services transparently to this important customer while promoting technology infusion and furthering the goal of a single integrated Foreign Affairs Network to serve diplomatic missions at home and abroad, ” Group President Deb Alderson said.
