September 22nd Market Close: GovConIndex Closes Up While Major Indices Close Mixed

The Executive Mosaic GovCon Index (GCI) continued to move up in posting its sixth consecutive day of gains. The GCI closed at 106.332 up 0.776 percent with advancing shares outpacing declining 22 to 7.

The S&P500 ended the day at 2,502.22 up by 0.06 percent, while the DJIA fell 0.04 percent to 22,349.59, and the NASDAQ Composite was up 0.07 percent to 6,426.92.

Crude oil continued its positive direction to remain above the $50 mark with WTI on the NY Mercantile Exchange closing up 0.18 percent to $50.64 per barrel.
