SOS International has acquired Vienna, Virginia-based data analytics and cyber platforms provider Defense Group Inc. for an undisclosed sum in a move to expand its client base and broaden technical capabilities in the field of cyber intelligence.
The transaction marks SOSis second purchase in the intelligence sector after it bought defense and intelligence community contractor New World Solutions in January 2016, SOSi said Monday.
SOSi President and CEO Julian Setian said the integration of DGI with SOSis intelligence solutions group would help facilitate access to IC agencies and back the firms strategic goal to deliver technology platforms designed to meet clients requirements.
Holland & Knight LLP acts as legal adviser to SOSi in the deal.
Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Headwaters MB respectively serve as legal and financial advisers to DGI in the transaction.
DGI provides technology platforms and research services to commercial and federal government clients in the areas of cyber intelligence, smart data analytics and foreign language exploitation.
