Rob Dapkiewicz Succeeds Mike Leff as AT&T VP for Federal Civilian Sector; Kay Kapoor Comments

Rob Dapkiewicz, former vice president for sales at AT&T (NYSE: T), has assumed a new role as VP for the federal civilian sector within the company’s global public sector business.

The company said Tuesday Dapkiewicz succeeds Mike Leff, who has moved on as VP for strategy and operations within AT&T Global Public Sector.

“Government customers want more commercial offers,” said Kay Kapoor, president of the global public sector organization at AT&T.

“Rob™s successes in our commercial business make him the perfect fit for this job.”

Dapkiewicz has worked at AT&T for approximately 25 years and started his career at the company as an account executive in 1993.

He took positions of increasing responsibility over the years and was appointed VP of sales in 2006.

He has led work on product development, regulatory affairs and operations in support of AT&T’s commercial customers and alliance partners.

Kapoor noted that Leff, the former VP for the federal civilian sector, will help build on business opportunities and relationships across the company’s global public sector customer base as part of his new leadership role for strategy and operations.

Leff held his previous position for more than three years beginning January 2014.
