Larry Barfield, former director of capture management at KBR‘s (NYSE: KBR) government services subsidiary KBRwyle, has been named vice president and capture management leader for the federal business group of Parsons.
He brings more than 30 years of security and government services market experience to his new position, Carey Smith, Parsons federal group president and an inductee into Executive Mosaic‘s Wash100 for 2017, said in a statement released Monday.
Barfield previously served as co-founder and CEO of consulting firm xpt2, capture manager at Honeywell‘s (NYSE: HON) former technology solutions business and vice president of government programs at SightLogix.
He also held the positions of project engineer, subject matter expert and contracting officer technical representative at the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, where he designed electronic security systems, established a flightline security enhancement program and implemented a biometric pilot for the Defense Department.
Before SPAWAR, he developed and deployed an automated infrared surveillance system as a design and field engineer.
