Pratt & Whitney Selects Matthew Bromberg to Replace Retiring Military Engines President Bennett Croswell

Matthew Bromberg, a 15-year veteran of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX) and president of the commercial engines aftermarket business of its Pratt & Whitney subsidiary, has been appointed to serve as president of the subsidiary’s military engines unit by May.

Pratt & Whitney said Tuesday that Bromberg will succeed the retiring Bennett Croswell and will also serve as a senior vice president effective today to help facilitate a smooth transition.

Croswell, a 38-year company veteran, will provide support to UTC as a consultant after his retirement.

He has led the military engines business over the past six years, during which Pratt and Whitney was chosen to supply engine technology for the U.S. Air Force‘s B-21 Raider bomber program and participate in USAF’s Adaptive Engine Transition Program and the U.S. Army‘s Improved Turbine Engine program.

Hartford, Connecticut-based Pratt & Whitney also manufactures the engines for Lockheed Martin-built (NYSE: LMT) F-35 aircraft.

Bromberg previously held various senior leadership roles at the UTC’s corporate office and aerospace systems segment.

The former U.S. Navy lieutenant is currently a board member at the USO of Metropolitan New York and the executive sponsor of the UTC-4-Vets employee-resource group for UTC and Pratt & Whitney veteran employees.
