Judy Marks, an executive vice president at the Dresser-Rand subsidiary of Siemens,  has been selected to succeed the retiring Eric Spiegel as CEO of the industrial conglomerate’s U.S. subsidiary in a move scheduled to take effect Jan. 1.
“Judy has a deep knowledge of Siemens’ entire portfolio that will serve us well during this time of transition and into the future, †Lisa Davis, a member of the managing board at Siemens, said Wednesday.

Marks, who will continue to serve in her current role at Dresser-Rand business, joined Siemens in 2011 as president and CEO of the company’s U.S. federal government subsidiary named Siemens Government Technologies.
Davis, who also oversees the company’s global energy operations through its Houston-based oil and gas headquarters, has also been named chair and CEO of Siemens Corp., also effective Jan. 1.
Marks transitioned from SGT into the role of EVP of global solutions at Dresser-Rand in August 2015 after Siemens completed its $7.6 billion acquisition of the rotating equipment provider in the summer of 2015.
She also spent nearly three decades at Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT), where she held senior leadership positions such as VP of strategy and business development at the contractor’s electronic systems business and EVP of transportation and security solutions.
