BL Harbert International has received a potential two-year, $85.1 million contract from the U.S. Army to build a command-and-control facility for the service branch™s Cyber Command headquarters at Fort Gordon in Georgia.
The ARCYBER HQ C2 facility will be co-located with an operations facility for the cyber protection team at Fort Gordon, the Defense Departmentsaid Monday.
Lt. Gen. Edward Cardon, ARCYBER commanding general, announced in 2013 the selection of Fort Gordon as the headquarters for ARCYBER in order to combine the service branch™s cyber and network operations.
The Army Corps of Engineers awarded the firm-fixed-price contract through a competitive procurement process with 10 offers received and will obligate the full contract amount from the service branch™s œother procurement and military construction funds for fiscal 2016 at the time of award.
The contractor will perform work through May 21, 2018, according to DoD.
Birmingham, Alabama-based BL Harbert International offers design-build, general contracting and construction management services for local and international clients and posted $959 million in revenue for fiscal 2015.
