Roger Krone
Roger Krone, chairman and CEO of Leidos (NYSE: LDOS), told CNBC in an interview aired Tuesday that he thinks that all U.S. presidents tend to act the same way when it comes to the countrys defense and security of its citizens.
Krone made the comment in response to a question on the potential impacts of the change in U.S. leadership on defense spending.
He also said that he believes NATO plays an important role in efforts to defend and keep the world stable.
NATO is a major customer of Leidos and that the company performs work for the alliance in Brussels, Krone told CNBC interviewer Michelle Caruso-Cabrera during that channels Squawk Box program.
Krone, an inductee into Executive Mosaics Wash100 for 2016, also cited Leidos involvement in the Defense Health Agencys Genesis program that seeks to deploy a new electronic health record system for the active military across all healthcare facilities worldwide in an effort to facilitate interoperability between commercial health providers and the Defense Department.
Leidos has completed its merger with Lockheed Martins (NYSE: LMT) information systems and global solutions business through a $5 billion Reverse Morris Trust transaction.
Krone said in the interview that the transaction would provide Leidos diversity in its markets and add approximately 15, 000 new employees to its workforce.
