Navy Picks LSI, TECHSOFT for Computer Simulation Services Under $345M in Contracts

The U.S. Navy has chosen Logistics Services International and Technical Software Services to provide re-engineering, development and personal computer simulation services under separate contracts worth up to $345 million combined.

The Defense Department said Monday each contract has 33 base months plus a 36-month option period and covers support for Naval Education Training Command™s Naval Training Products and Services program.

Estimated ceiling values of the contracts’ initial base period total $167.2 million.

LSI and TECHSOFT will perform task orders at their respective facilities in Jacksonville and Pensacola, Florida, through up to May 2022 if all options are exercised.

The contracting department of the Naval Supply Systems Command Fleet Logistics Center-Norfolk received nine offers for the program through a competitive solicitation on the FedBizOpps website.

The Navy will obligate $5, 000 each to the contractors at the time of award from the service branch’s fiscal 2016 operations and maintenance funds.

LSI is a Jacksonville, Florida-headquartered company that offers training services for DoD, Department of Homeland Security and aerospace industry customers.

Pensacola, Florida-based TECHSOFT provides process engineering, software services, network services, information security, training development and managed services.
