Graeme Thompson, formerly vice president of global information technology end-user services at Oracle (NYSE: ORCL), has been named senior vice president and chief information officer of Redwood City, California-based software development company Informatica.
The more than 20-year IT and supply chain management veteran aims to help expand Informatica’s use of big data and cloud computing technologies that can aid in the company’s marketing and customer management initiatives, Informatica said Monday.
“He will be focused on harnessing data to drive new internal efficiencies and continued business growth, but also creating new ways for customers to engage with Informatica to use their data to power their own businesses, ” said Doug Barnett, Informatica executive vice president and chief financial officer.
At Oracle, Thompson managed a team of professionals that offer customer-facing enterprise IT services in the global market.
He previously served as a VP and CIO at enterprise infrastructure software developer BEA Systems and worked as VP of supply chain at Riverstone Networks.
