Dell and EMC (NYSE: EMC) have announced their integrated enterprise information technology company will do business as Dell Technologies once the process of their estimated $67 billion merger is complete.
“Our vision is a strategically aligned family of businesses that brings together customers’ entire infrastructure, from hardware to software to services, from the edge to the core to the cloud, ” Michael Dell said in a statement released Monday.
The announcement comes two months after he unveiled the names of the executives that will comprise the senior management team of the future combined entity.
Dell Technologies’ enterprise segment will operate as Dell EMC and will market IT products and services directly or via a marketing channel to institutional and business clients.
The integrated firm will also have a client solutions-focused segment that will carry the Dell brand.
Dell and EMC’s integration team is still working on a visual identity for Dell Technologies and its subsidiaries, the Massachusetts-based data storage vendor noted.
