Jacobs Engineering Group (NYSE: JEC) has purchased Columbia, Maryland-based cybersecurity platforms and services provider Van Dyke Technology Group for an undisclosed sum in an effort to expand its portfolio of information technology security offerings for public and private sectors.
Darren Kraabel, senior vice president of aerospace and technology at Jacobs, said Tuesday the acquisition seeks to complement Jacobs™ investments in its offerings under the Connected Enterprise package.
These include cloud-based platforms, data analytics tools designed to link industrial control systems and products that work to safeguard critical infrastructures from cyber threats.
Kraabel added that Jacobs plans to offer Van Dyke™s cybersecurity platforms to its clients across the Defense Department and the intelligence community, as well as its customers in the private sector.
Van Dyke provides threat mitigation support, identity and access management platforms, data management tools and other cybersecurity offerings designed for cloud-based and enterprise network environments.
