Donald Renner
Donald Renner, a retired U.S. Army colonel, has joined IEM as vice president of its defense and information technology arm, where he will oversee the firm’s business in the IT and defense sectors.
The global security consulting company said Wednesday Renner brings his three-decade experience in federal IT services.
“Don Renner is a recognized leader in the development and application of technology solutions for national security and defense, ” said IEM President and CEO Madhu Beriwal.
“Don brings a unique blend of technical skill, tactical and strategic national security experience, and industry business acumen to IEM.”
Renner has helped support the delivery of software, cybersecurity and other IT services for both public and private sector organizations.
During his service in the military, he was assigned to the Joint Chiefs of Staff and worked with the strategic plans and policy directorate and C4 systems and networks directorate.
He has served as lead adviser on modeling and simulation to the Army’s chief information officer and supported technology deployment for U.S. Special Operations Command, U.S. Strategic Command, Defense Information Systems Agency, Defense Intelligence Agency and National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency.
