A Vienna, Virginia-based contractor that has been among the most prominent small businesses in federal contracting has started a new path in its two-decade journey from humble beginnings.
Indus Corp., the IT services provider started in 1993 by Shiv Krishnan, announced this week it hasbecome a part of global engineering contractor Tetra Tech as both companies seek growth in the environment and water sectors.

Krishnan, a native of India who moved to the U.S. in 1979, has been an advocate for the small business contracting community since Indusâ start and was recognized by the Small Business Administration in 2002 with a âSmall Business Person of the Yearâ award.
