SCRA Applied R&D has been awarded a potential five-year, $99 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to operate the U.S. Navys metalworking center in collaboration with engineering firm EWI.
SCRA will manage the Navy Manufacturing Technologies Center of Excellence and EWI will assist in the center’s project development and management activities, SCRA said Monday.
“SCRA Applied R&D is proud to continue its support to the Navy’s manufacturing technology program through the Navy Metalworking Center of Excellence, ” said Marty Ryan, an SCRA vice president.
He added the team will work to address the Navy’s technology cost and capability concerns.
Ryan will serve as the center’s director and EWI Senior Manager Paul Blomquist will be the technical director.
