The Department of Defense said Tuesday Naval Sea Systems Command, or NAVSEA, conducted a full and open competition on SAM.gov and received two offers for the firm-fixed-price contract.
NAVSEA awarded an initial amount of $199 million in support of the fiscal 2026 USS America Docking Selected Restricted Availability, or DSRA.
Work will occur in San Diego through July 2027.
The command is obligating $181.2 million in fiscal 2025 other procurement funds and $17.7 million in fiscal 2025 operations and maintenance funds for the DSRA.

According to a presolicitation notice published in December, the selected contractor will provide labor, supervision, testing, production and quality assurance necessary to accomplish the Chief of Naval Operations Availability.
The ship is expected to carry out its respective mission and maintain readiness until the next CNO depot availability.
