Frank Dimina announced on LinkedIn Tuesday that he has been appointed senior vice president of global sales and chief revenue officer at Splunk.
In his new dual role, Dimina will oversee Splunk’s global sales, solution engineering, business development, partner strategy and go-to-market execution. He brings two decades of experience in the cybersecurity and technology sectors and a proven track record of developing high-performing teams and enabling customers in utilizing their data to achieve mission-critical goals.
Frank Dimina’s Career History
The executive has been with Splunk for nearly 10 years, having joined the company in 2016. Prior to his promotion, he served as SVP and general manager of the Americas for over four years. He was named VP of public sector in 2018 and oversaw the company’s federal, state, local and higher education businesses. He was the area VP and regional director of the federal sector in his first two years at Splunk.
Dimina spent over eight years at Check Point Software Technologies, most recently serving as the director of public sector sales. He also held area manager and federal account manager roles. Before that, Dimina served as VP of professional services at Securicon and director of the security operations center at Symantec. He was initially with Riptech when it was acquired by Symantec in 2002. He gained valuable experience in cybersecurity and cloud transformation during his time with Riptech. Earlier in his career, Dimina served as chief technical officer at Intellicue and network engineer at ANSER.
