Booz Allen Names Troy Lahr CFO, Elevates Kristine Martin Anderson to President

Booz Allen Hamilton has appointed Troy Lahr as chief financial officer and named Chief Operating Officer Kristine Martin Anderson to the additional role of president.

Lahr will assume the CFO role on May 4, and Anderson will become president on May 1, the company said Monday.

Who Is Booz Allen’s New CFO?

Lahr joins Booz Allen as executive vice president and CFO with more than 25 years of experience across aerospace, defense and commercial technology sectors.

He most recently served as CFO at Sierra Space, where he led financial strategy, planning, accounting and treasury operations. He previously held the same role at Boeing’s defense, space and security business, where he also served in multiple senior finance roles, including vice president of investor relations, controller and CFO of the autonomous systems unit.

Lahr was a member of United Launch Alliance’s board of directors. He began his career as an aerospace and defense equity analyst at Stifel.

In his new role, he will oversee Booz Allen’s financial operations, including fiscal performance, capital structure, and mergers and acquisitions. Lahr will report to Chairman and CEO Horacio Rozanski.

Who Is Kristine Anderson?

Anderson has served Booz Allen as COO since 2022 and has been acting CFO since February.

A 20-year Booz Allen veteran, Anderson has held multiple leadership roles across the firm, including leading the civil sector business, where she focused on modernizing federal civilian agency missions through technology and innovation.

Her earlier career includes being a founding employee at healthcare technology firm CareScience, where she helped scale the company from startup to public offering and eventual acquisition.

How Do These Moves Support Booz Allen’s Strategy?

Rozanski said the appointments are intended to position the company for continued growth and transformation as it expands its role as an advanced technology provider.

The changes also include additional leadership shifts across the business. Chief Strategy Officer Shannon Fitzgerald will become president of the civil sector on May 1. Fitzgerald will replace Richard Crowe, who will transition to chief growth officer.
