Air Force Seeks Proposals for Potential $485M Cyber Operation Formal Training Support III Contract

The Department of the Air Force has started seeking industry feedback for potential vendors for a potential $485 million Cyber Operations Formal Training Support, or CyOFTS, III contract.

CyOFTS III Contract Scope and Details

According to the request for proposal posted on SAM.gov Monday, the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract covers services supporting the 39th Information Operations Squadron, or 39 IOS, also known as the Cyber Operations and Information Operations Formal Training Unit. The single award contract intends to deliver subject matter expertise and other vital capabilities to enhance and support the mission of 39 IOS in support of Air Combat Command, Air Forces Cyber, U.S. Cyber Command and the government.

The project will involve training courses such as Initial Qualification Training, USCYBERCOM 2000-level work role training and advanced training for Total Force Airmen to organize and carry out operations involving CO and IO capabilities. Current course offerings cover cyberspace operations, information operations, expeditionary communications, or XCOMM, and instructor training courses.

The project is open to small businesses. It will commence on April 1, 2026, and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2031. It will have a 10-month base period and four 12-month ordering periods with a six-month extension period.

Interested vendors have until June 20 to submit their proposals.
