Eric Reyes Elevated to Koniag Government Services Chief Security Officer

Eric Reyes, a seasoned cybersecurity leader, has been promoted to chief security officer at Koniag Government Services.

The Chantilly, Virginia-based company said Wednesday Reyes will oversee all aspects of the company’s security operations, including industrial, physical, personnel and information security. He will also manage the enterprise cybersecurity program while driving efforts to secure a Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification, or CMMC, Level 2 certification.

Who Is Eric Reyes?

The new CSO is a 20-year veteran in the field of corporate security and federal law enforcement. He brings a proven track record in a wide range of security disciplines, including cybersecurity and insider threat management. He also has a comprehensive knowledge of investigative and law enforcement activities in both criminal and national security domains.

Career History

Reyes has been with KGS for nearly five years. He most recently served as the senior vice president of corporate security before his recent promotion. He worked as the director of industrial security and corporate facility security officer when he joined the company in 2020.

The C-level executive spent a year at SkyWater Technology Foundry as the director of corporate security, program engineer senior principal and facility security officer.

Before joining the private sector, Reyes served in the FBI for 13 years. He was an FBI special agent and supervisory special agent for over a decade. He also held the CSO position when he started his FBI career in 2006.

Reyes was a special agent and industrial security representative at the Defense Security Service from 2002 to 2006.
