The FBI has awarded Vertex Aerospace a potential five-year, $100 million contract to provide maintenance support services for the bureau’s fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft.
According to an award notice published Friday on SAM.gov, the bureau launched a competitive acquisition for the single-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.
Contract Scope
The Aviation Maintenance and Support Services IDIQ contract has a one-year base term and four 12-month options. Task orders will be a hybrid cost plus award fee, cost plus fixed fee or labor hour type contract.
In September 2024, the FBI issued a solicitation for the contract, which will provide aviation support for the bureau’s Critical Incident Support Group.
Services include aircraft maintenance and support personnel to provide field-level maintenance and back shop support functions.
Contractor personnel will also provide special mission equipment, operational, training and administrative support to meet the FBI’s mission requirements.
