Northrop Generates $41B in Total Sales for ‘Outstanding’ 2024

Northrop Grumman reports having generated $10.68 billion in sales for the fourth quarter of 2024 and $41.03 billion in total sales for the whole year. The company said Thursday the figures reflected strong, continuing demand for its services and products.

Sales Totals and Sales Drivers

The sales total for the fourth quarter of 2024 is largely comparable to that in 2023, which saw $10.63 billion. For 2024, sales were driven primarily by the company’s aeronautics systems business, which generated $3.22 billion, followed by the mission systems business, which generated $3.14 billion.

The sales total for the whole of 2024 is 4 percent higher than in 2023, which saw $39.29 billion. For 2024, total sales were driven primarily by the aeronautics systems business as well, which generated $12.03 billion. The second largest driver of sales was the space systems business, which generated $11.73 billion.

Net Earnings

In terms of net earnings, Northrop reported generating $1.26 billion for the fourth quarter of 2024 and $4.17 billion for the whole year. Compared to the full-year 2023 net earnings, which was at $2.05 billion, 2024’s is 103 percent higher.

Another Outstanding Year

Commenting on her company’s financial results, Northrop Grumman Chair, CEO and President Kathy Warden, a past Wash100 winner, said, “Our team had another outstanding year equipping the U.S. and our allies with the advanced technologies they need to lead globally and maintain peace through strength.”

“Our guidance anticipates continued top line growth, margin expansion and double digit cash flow growth. Northrop Grumman remains committed to leading the way in technology innovation for national security,” Warden added.
