The U.S. Navy has awarded five companies spots on a contract with a combined total of $249 million for the procurement of general construction services for the Naval Station Guantanamo Bay.
Navy Construction Contract Details
The Department of Defense said Tuesday the firm-fixed-price, multiple award construction contract was awarded to the following companies:
RQ Construction of Carlsbad, California
Centerra Integrated Services of Herndon, Virginia
Islands Mechanical Contractor of Middleburg, Florida
Hasen JV of New Braunfels, Texas
King & George of Fort Worth, Texas
The contractors will perform work for the general construction projects at the Naval Station Guantanamo Bay in Cuba with the possibility of work being conducted in other locations. The contract is expected to run through January 2030.
Under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity deal, the five awardees will receive $1,000 at contract award. The Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Southeast in Jacksonville, Florida, as the contracting activity, will allocate the initial $5,000 from the Navy’s fiscal 2025 operation and maintenance funds. Funding for each delivery order level will be obligated upon issuance of the order.
The contract was competitively procured on SAM.gov through the Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment Solicitation Module. Seven companies submitted their proposals.
