Army Requests Proposals for M10 Booker Full Rate Production Contract

Army Contracting Command Detroit Arsenal has begun seeking proposals for the full rate production of the M10 Booker armored fighting vehicles.

ACC-DTA plans to procure up to 266 M10 Booker combat vehicles with all basic issue items, a radio kit, component of end items and under vehicle armor along with 31 refurbishment vehicles and ancillary services, according to a notice posted Wednesday on SAM.gov.

General Dynamics‘ (NYSE: GD) land systems division manufactures the M10 Booker, formerly called Mobile Protected Firepower, under a potential $1.14 billion low-rate production contract awarded in June 2022.

The Army awarded GDLS a $257.6 million contract modification in July 2023 for 26 additional units of the armored vehicle for the program’s second low-rate initial production phase.

According to the Department of Defense’s fiscal year 2025 budget estimates report, the Army plans to annually spend between $460 million and $500 million to buy up to 165 M10 combat vehicles over the next five years.

Responses to the request for proposals are due July 22.
