9 Companies Secure Spots on $4B DTRA Contract for Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction R&D

Nine companies have secured spots on a potential 10-year, $4 billion multiple-award indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to help the Defense Threat Reduction Agency research, develop, test and evaluate scientific and technological platforms for combating weapons of mass destruction.

Work under the IDIQ will be divided into three mission pools: artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science and software development; operations and countermeasures in a chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear environment; and targeting, information operations and irregular warfare, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.

The awardees are:

  • Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH)
  • Leidos (NYSE: LDOS)
  • Noblis 
  • Parsons Government Services 
  • Peraton 
  • Signalscape 
  • SRC 
  • Two Six Technologies

DTRA received 27 bids for the contract and will obligate $50,000 in minimum guarantee per contract using fiscal 2024 RDT&E allocation.

Work locations and other funding will be determined upon issuance of individual orders.

The contract has a five-year base period with five option years that could extend work until May 2034.
