The U.S. Air Force has started soliciting industry feedback to help inform the acquisition strategy for a potential 10-year, follow-on contract for operation and maintenance support services at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida.
The Eglin Operation and Maintenance Services II Program will support research and development, training missions and test and evaluation of military weapons and military aerospace equipment, according to a request for information published Friday.
EOMS II covers five major areas: general support services; range support services; range instrumentation; explosive test facilities; and major ground test facilities.
Work on the recompete contract is expected to kick off in April 2026.
General support services, for instance, include management, configuration management, planning, operations, agility and flexibility, logistics, vehicle management and emergency operations and disaster preparedness, according to the draft performance work statement.
The military branch is asking interested stakeholders to highlight any specific areas of concern in the draft PWS, provide recommendations on how best to incentivize performance under the EOMS II program and review the contract data requirements lists and minimum personnel requirements in the draft PWS.
The Air Force will hold an industry day on June 17 to provide details on the requirements of the program.
Responses to the RFI are due May 20.
