B&A has completed its acquisition of Intelligent Waves, adding cybersecurity, network and systems engineering, and data science work serving the Department of War and the intelligence community. Terms were not disclosed.
Intelligent Waves, founded in 2006, builds systems for defense, intelligence and civilian customers. B&A told GovCon Wire on Tuesday that Intelligent Waves’ proprietary products will become part of B&A’s offering immediately.
What Does Intelligent Waves Bring?
The company’s portfolio covers secure mobile communications, covert managed attribution platforms, tactical edge computing, and sensor telemetry and data analytics frameworks.
Its GRAYPATH, Phantom and STRIKE products have been selected for programs throughout the Department of War, special operations forces and the intelligence community.
GRAYPATH is an expeditionary communications technology built for non-attributable global communication supporting military special operations. It uses patented IP spread spectrum technology, randomizing and distributing message packets across multiple transport paths and encrypted channels, with algorithms that adjust message flow based on channel availability and bandwidth.
The Phantom platform delivers secure, managed-attribution capabilities designed to safeguard defense personnel operating in high-risk digital environments. Through its Phantom Desktop’s Virtual Desktop Infrastructure framework and its Phantom Mobile’s virtual device environment, the system obscures user identity, location and data traffic during intelligence gathering and operational communications, mitigating the risk of man-in-the-middle attacks, insider threats and digital footprint tracking.
STRIKE, short for Sensor Telemetry, Re‑analysis, Integration and Kinetic Enhancement, is an end-to-end data lifecycle platform designed to ingest, process and distribute tactical sensor data for military test and operational units. Featuring a sensor- and platform-agnostic architecture, the system automates data processing to reduce retrieval and mission data file update timelines. STRIKE operates across multiple security classifications and can deploy at the tactical edge in bandwidth-degraded environments, supporting air domain operations for the U.S. Air Force and Navy and the F-35 Joint Program Office.
