Keeper Security’s Mike Eppes on Meeting CMMC Requirements With Zero Trust-Based Password Management Tools

Mike Eppes, director of public sector at Keeper Security, said password management is one of the areas the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification program addresses and defense contractors should account for such requirements.

He noted that the Department of Defense and contractors must advance zero trust adoption.

“This ‘never trust, always verify’ attitude requires companies and individuals to take responsibility for the security of their data, devices, applications and assets,” Eppes wrote in an article published on Carahsoft.com.

The public sector chief called on organizations to adopt zero trust-based tools that could enable them to manage passwords and privileged access.

One of the password management tools Eppes cited is the Keeper Security Government Cloud platform, which is certified under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program.

“KSGC provides an advanced cloud authentication and network communications model built for the highest levels of privacy, security and trust,” he noted.

Eppes discussed how KSGC works to help end users manage passwords through multiple layers of encryption and safeguards.
