Gregg Melanson, former executive vice president and chief growth officer at Illuminate, has been appointed as CGO at technology consulting provider Acuity.
The Reston, Virginia-headquartered company said Wednesday Melanson will be responsible for driving continued growth and expansion of its federal business.
He began specializing in governmentwide acquisition programs when he joined Catapult Technology. He later took on the position of Alliant GWAC Center VP at NCI Information Systems, currently known as Empower AI.
Melanson started his career in 1990 at the Walt Disney Co. (NYSE: DIS), serving in various positions over the course of nine years. In 2006, he became general manager at Sprint Nextel, now part of T-Mobile US (Nasdaq: TMUS).
“In my early discussions with Melanson, it became evident that he possesses the requisite experience and a clear vision to help us advance our successful track record of growth,” said Acuity President Rui Garcia.
Acuity offers information technology modernization, data, cybersecurity, DevSecOps and IT operations in support of national security and public safety missions of federal and intelligence community customers. It grew from a small 8(a) startup to an enterprise with annual revenue of over $100 million.
