Steampunk Secures $174M ICE Security Assurance Support Task Order; Sean Dillon Quoted

Steampunk has received a five-year, $174 million task order to provide security assurance services for the Department of Homeland Security’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

The company said Wednesday it will provide information system security officer support to at least 115 systems under the ICE Security Assurance Support Services II task order.

ICE SASS II also includes technical staffing support to advance automation and risk management framework integration to enable ICE to enhance compliance with the Federal Information Security Modernization Act, support data analytics and reduce and address vulnerabilities related to mission-critical platforms.

Sean Dillon, chief technology officer of Steampunk, said the company has been working with ICE in the last three years to help the agency modernize its cybersecurity approach using Steampunk’s Design Intelligence delivery framework.

“Together with ICE, we’ve integrated industry best practices around DevSecOps, Data, and automation into SASS to bring quality at speed to the SASS program,” added Dillon.
