Michael Howard, a retired U.S. Army lieutenant general, assumed the chief executive role at Warrior Focused Solutions on Aug. 4.
In this capacity, he will oversee the delivery of training services and assist in facilitating the Crucible Training Experience to enable U.S. warfighters to address security threats and meet the evolving global security landscape, the company said Monday.
Warrior Focused Solutions is focused on offering Army training platforms and services to the Joint Readiness Training Center while leveraging the experience of senior military leaders in supporting the Joint Multinational Readiness Training Center and National Training Center, among others.
“I’m proud to continue to serve our Nation in this new capacity and focus on ensuring our warfighters are trained and ready for whatever challenges the future holds,” Howard said in a statement.
His 36-year military career culminated in the role of deputy commander of U.S. European Command. Howard, who joined the Army in 1986, served in joint, command and operational tours and witnessed combat in Afghanistan and Iraq.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Mercer University and a master’s degree in national security strategic studies from the National War College.
