Interior Department Seeks Proposals for Potential $1B Foundation Cloud Hosting Services II Contract

The Department of the Interior has released a solicitation for a potential 10-year, $1 billion follow-on contract for cloud license and support services.

DOI plans to select three to five prime contractors for Foundation Cloud Hosting Services II, a multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with a two-year base term and four two-year option periods, according to the solicitation notice published Thursday.

The government is seeking potential vendors that offer cloud platforms certified under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program and implement net-zero cloud strategies.

Interested stakeholders should describe how they will implement basic data management best practices for data dictionaries, open web services, discovery metadata and other hosted systems and meet the requirement to manage and update department data integration through emerging architectures, according to the statement of work.

Contractors should have the capability to provide technical advisory services to fully migrate target applications and services to the cloud, offer cloud environments for production, integration and sandbox purposes and deliver post-deployment cloud support and governance services, among other technical objectives.

Proposals for the FCHS2 solicitation are due July 30.
