Michael Herrington Joins Tsymmetry as CEO; Phillip Lowit Quoted

Michael Herrington, former division vice president and general manager at Leidos (NYSE: LDOS), has been appointed CEO of Arlington, Virginia-based government information technology provider Tsymmetry.

He brings to his new position more than two decades of industry experience in corporate strategy development and execution and global operations leadership, Tsymmetry said Thursday.

While at Leidos, Herrington led a team focused on global logistics, system sustainment and logistics IT offerings under the company’s aviation and land systems lines of business.

The certified public accountant previously oversaw Michael Baker International’s delivery of support services to Department of Defense and foreign government clients as a senior VP.

He also served as VP of operations at DynCorp International and led the military contractor’s business development initiatives in the Middle East and North Africa.

“His unique blend of people management, global leadership, and organizational stewardship talents will help us build momentum in the marketplace and bring the power of Tsymmetry to new customers,” said Phillip Lowit, co-founder and chairman of Tsymmetry.
