Analytical Mechanics Associates Books $1.5B Contract to Support NASA Langley Research Center

Analytical Mechanics Associates has secured a potential $1.5 billion contract to provide flight readiness support at NASA’s Langley Research Center in Virginia.

Hampton, Virginia-based AMA will assist the center across research, engineering and science programs as part of the eight-year contract, the space agency said Wednesday.

The RSES effort covers system design, engineering, modeling, integration and development of flight hardware; flight dynamics and controls; systems analysis and concepts development; science research and analysis; and an atmospheric science data center. 

AMA also help the agency integrate fundamental methods and concepts in research.

Analytical Mechanics Associates to Help NASA Build ‘Hypervelocity’ Spacecraft Tech

NASA has awarded Analytical Mechanics Associates a potential five-year, $43 million contract to develop and engineer a technology for manufacturing  hypervelocity space vehicles. The contract falls under NASA’s Entry Systems Technology Research and Development initiative and carries an initial value of $2.2 million over a two-year base term and three option years, the agency said Tuesday.
