Mercury Systems SVP Michelle McCarthy to Serve as Interim CFO

Michelle McCarthy, senior vice president and chief accounting officer of Mercury Systems (Nasdaq: MRCY), has been named interim chief financial officer at the Andover, Massachusetts-headquartered aerospace and defense electronics supplier.

She will replace Michael Ruppert, who will step down as CFO on Feb. 17 after five years in the role, the company said Tuesday.

Mercury Systems is working with an executive search firm to identify a permanent successor to Ruppert.

McCarthy joined Mercury Systems in 2018 after nearly 12 years at Analog Devices as a corporate controller and spent more than seven years at Ernst & Young earlier in her career.

Mark Aslett, president and CEO of Mercury Systems and a previous Wash100 awardee, said McCarthy will work to ensure that the company remains on track to meet its $1 billion revenue goal and other fiscal year 2023 financial targets.

The company also announced that Nelson Erickson, SVP of strategy and corporate development, will take over investor relations functions.
