SAIC Lands $112M Contract to Integrate Cloud-Based Air Force C2 Platform

Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) will serve as the integrator of cloud-based command and control software for the Department of the Air Force under a $112 million contract.

SAIC will help the service branch implement agile methodologies in efforts to bring Advanced Battle Management System CBC2 applications to military personnel as part of the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, the Air Force said Monday.

The software is designed to employ Platform One DevSecOps tools and Cloud One computing environments that offer microservice and digital engineering tools designed to shorten tactical C2 kill chains.

“This capability will help unlock available data to accelerate information flow from sensor to decision maker and improve our senior leaders’ ability to assess any situation and act before a competitor’s or potential adversary’s next move,” said Gen. Glen VanHerck, commander of NORAD and USNORTHCOM.

SAIC was named to a five-member industry consortium in September 2022 to help DAF define future requirements and develop the digital infrastructure for the ABMS program.
