Epsilon3 Secures Series A Financing for Space Project Management Tech

Software startup Epsilon3 has secured $15 million in a round of Series A financing led by Lux Capital and will use the investment to expand its line of space project management platforms, SpaceNews reported Monday.

Epsilon3 offers a web-based platform that offers collaboration tools customized for spacecraft manufacturing and operations and seeks to replace word processing software and other applications used for managing operational workflows and testing involving spacecraft.

Moore Strategic Ventures, MaC Venture Capital and Y Combinator took part in the Series A round, bringing Epsilon3’s total funding to over $18 million.

The company will also use the capital to recruit more engineers to develop new software platforms, including analytical tools that could be used to improve workflows.

In 2021, CEO Laura Crabtree and Chief Operating Officer Max Mednik co-founded Epsilon3, which Mednik said is focused on operational workflows, integration and testing and includes Sierra Space, Rocket Lab, Virgin Galactic and the U.S. Space Force as customers.

Amazon Web Services and AlchemistX selected Epsilon3 and nine other startups for the AWS Space Accelerator, a four-week program meant to provide mentoring, technical and business development support to help such companies further develop their space technology platforms.
