She is currently the president of the intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems group within the intelligence and space business, the aerospace and defense contractor said Wednesday.
In her next role, Borgonovi will develop corporate strategies meant to drive the corporation’s profitability and performance and assess growth opportunities in mergers and acquisitions.
“Barbara brings to this critical role two decades of leadership in our defense, intelligence and space businesses, combined with a career’s worth of expertise in engineering and program management,” said Greg Hayes, chairman and CEO of Raytheon.
Raytheon noted that Michael Dumais, who concurrently serves as leader for corporate strategy and development and chief transformation officer, will become an outside strategic adviser to the corporation as part of its transition plans.
