Former Military Tech Official Kim Crider to Lead AI Innovation at Deloitte

Kim Crider, a retired U.S. Air Force major general and former chief innovation and technology officer for the U.S. Space Force, has been appointed to lead artificial intelligence innovation for national security efforts within Deloitte’s government and public services practice.

Crider will work with government agencies to further advance their adoption of AI and data analytics and conduct research on the national security applications of the emerging technology as a fellow for Deloitte’s AI Institute for Government, the consulting company said Thursday.

The 35-year military veteran will also promote and contribute to Deloitte’s Women in AI initiatives.

Crider served as chief data officer for the Air Force and founded two specialty consulting firms that advised clients on digital services, data administration and enterprise information technology management strategies.

She concurrently serves on the board of directors at the National Cybersecurity Center and encryption software company Arqit.
