Former DOD Cyber Official Daniel Ragsdale Named Two Six Technologies VP

Daniel Ragsdale, former principal director for cyber in the Department of Defense’s research and engineering office, has been appointed vice president and architect at Arlington, Virginia-based Two Six Technologies.

The retired U.S. Army colonel brings his three decades of military experience and his knowledge of cybersecurity to the technology company, Two Six Technologies said Wednesday.

Ragsdale held a short stint as acting director of defense research and engineering for modernization after his principal deputy role, and served as founding director of the Texas A&M Cybersecurity Center for nearly four years before he returned to DOD.

Prior to Texas A&M, he managed a portfolio of research and development programs across the cyber and behavioral science areas at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency.

His military career included combat deployments in support of Operations Urgent Fury, Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom and Ragsdale also served as vice dean for education at the U.S. Military Academy West Point.
