Dennis Freeman Joins Mission Secure’s Government & Defense Unit; Bob McAleer Quoted

Dennis Freeman, a Department of Defense veteran, has joined Mission Secure as a technical adviser within the cybersecurity company’s government and defense business.

He brings decades of military and civilian service experience to his new position and will help Mission Secure execute its operational technology cybersecurity strategy for government customers, the company said Tuesday.

Freeman noted that industrial control system cybersecurity is “an area critical to our national security and one that has not to date received the attention it deserves.”

His career has included time as deputy J2 (Intelligence) at U.S. Special Operations Command Europe, director of intelligence supporting the U.S. Navy deputy undersecretary and an instructor and evaluator for the U.S. Air Force’s Airborne Warning and Control System.

He also spent more than 21 years at USAF and held assignments at Tinker and Elmendorf AF bases, Fort Bragg and Joint Special Operations Command.

Charlottesville, Virginia-based Mission Secure offers a platform and managed services intended to help customers defend systems against cyber events.
